Radisson RED opened its first hotel in Ireland in Galway’s Crown Square. Developed by the Rhatigan Group and designed by Henry J Lyons, the hotel blends upscale design with a relaxed atmosphere. Its open-plan layout includes shared areas for socializing, an interactive bar, a lounge area, and a south-facing terrace.
The hotel offers 177 guest rooms and suites, each reflecting the brand’s bold yet functional design. The rooms are designed for relaxation and work, featuring large windows for natural light, vibrant color palettes, chic furnishings, and artwork inspired by Galway’s rich cultural heritage.
The hotel’s advanced features cater to tech-savvy travelers. Guests can enjoy seamless check-in and check-out through kiosks, wireless charging points throughout the hotel, and guest rooms equipped with Chrome Cast technology.
The Claddagh Bar & Grill on the ground floor offers a relaxed dining experience focusing on Irish ingredients. The open-plan space features Claddagh symbols and wooden accents, reflecting Galway’s rich culture.
Lena’s Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, located on the hotel’s top floor, seats 140 guests and offers panoramic views of Galway Bay and the city. It serves signature cocktails and a traditional Irish menu with a modern twist, using locally sourced produce.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Area Senior Vice President Northern & Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, said opening the first Radisson RED property in Ireland is a monumental occasion, and the property represents an ideal choice for business and leisure guests.
Radisson RED Galway also features nine meeting rooms across two floors, with over 400 square meters of event space for corporate meetings, creative workshops and social gatherings. On the lower ground floor, the Tribe Suite can accommodate up to 220 guests, making it ideal for larger conferences, presentations, or seminars.
The hotel is just a few minutes drive from Galway City and is adjacent to motorways connecting Galway with Dublin and Limerick.
