Hilton has announced its further expansion into Mexico with a new agreement to convert The Sens Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort into a Tapestry by Hilton property. This agreement is one of over ten new deals Hilton has signed in Mexico in 2024, highlighting Mexico as one of Hilton’s largest and fastest-growing markets globally.
Mexico boasts over 100 operational Hilton hotels and resorts, with 40 more in various development stages. The Sens Cancun resort is owned by Oasis Hotels & Resorts, who will also manage the property.
The Sens Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort is located in the Cancun hotel zone, about nine miles from Cancun International Airport. It provides guests exceptional views of Playa Langosta, known for its crystal-clear blue waters. The property will be renovated, enhancing all guest rooms and public spaces with vibrant design and decor. It will also feature nine restaurants and a new rooftop bar and restaurant, offering spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon.
Hilton’s growth in Mexico is part of its multi-brand, multi-destination strategy, with over 10 new hotel deals signed in 2024 across multiple brands and segments. Notable signings include the Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara and Hilton Tijuana, both expected to open in 2028 and 2026, respectively. Other new deals include the development of Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Tru by Hilton properties in popular destinations like Monterrey, Mazatlan, Ciudad Juarez, Ciudad Valles, Juriquilla, Saltillo and Mexico City. Hilton also signed the first Home2 Suites by Hilton branded hotel in the country, set to open in Monterrey Santa Catarina in 2027.
The signing of The Sens Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton, underlines Hilton’s strategic priority to expand its all-inclusive segment in Mexico and globally. Hilton’s current Mexico all-inclusive portfolio includes six resorts.
Hilton’s continued growth in Mexico is part of its momentum in the Caribbean and Latin America region, where the company has over 270 open hotels and a robust pipeline of 135 hotels.
